A small orchid, dried and painted with a layer of clear UV resin to preserve its gentle shape and soft colour, rests on a white hand-block-printed choker scarf with a flower motiv, 100% natural cotton.

✦ Fun fact: Its scientific name is Phalaenopsis, also called the moth orchid, because its petals resemble moths in mid-flight. Orchids symbolise health, prosperity, and elegant beauty. And because they last so long, they are also symbols of endurance. (Alive, they love a compact pot in a full-sun spot.)

All handmade by jewellery artist Farrieda Smit in the Netherlands. One of a kind — very limited batch, most pieces exist in only 1 to a maximum of 5 units.
